Track Hosts Wolfpack Quad Meet

The Wolfpack women claimed three victories on the day. Freshman Kristin Pace continued her strong season in the high jump, with a first place finish with a mark of 1.70m. Senior Sherlane Armstrong was first in the triple jump, an event in which she earned All-American status for during the indoor season, with a leap of 12.47m. Armstrong also finished second in the javelin with a throw of 116'9". Molly Purser, Beth Fonner, and Yvonne Downing finished in spots 2-4 in the 1,500 meters, while Anne Marie Clark placed third in the 200 meters with a time of 24.95. Renae Robinson took home top hors in the 400 meters with a time of 56.50.
The men*s squad was led by the performance of Isaiah Oglesby. He first in the shot put (15.13m), first in the discus (50.05m), and first in the hammer throw (50.74m). Joseph Brent also had a big day for the Pack, as he took top honors in the 100 meters with a time of 10.55, and placed second in the long jump with a mark of 6.85m. The Wolfpack also took home top honors in both the 4x100 meter relay and the 4x400 meter relay.
The Wolfpack will be back in action next weekend when it competes at the UNC Charlotte Invitational April 15.
