Landis Strader Earns Player Of The Week Honors

Strader finished the week going 1-1 in singles. Her victory was in the most impressive fashion. After dropping the first set 3-6 and being down 2-5 in the second to Andrea Terrill of ECU, Strader turned the match around winning the second set 7-5 and then the third 6-2. Her win clinched the match for the Pack instead of the outcome having to be settled during the doubles matches.
Strader teamed with Kristen Nicholls to play very well throughout the week in doubles as well. They lost to their opponents from ECU 9-8 and then dropped a very tough match 9-7 to their opponents from Wake Forest after tjey were up 7-5.
The coaching staff really likes Strader's never say die attitude. She has continued to pick up her play and is finding ways to win.
Strader and the rest of her Wolfpack teammates will be in action this weekend at the Wolfpack Tennis Complex. On Saturday the Pack host Virginia at 11:00 and then play Maryland on Sunday. The Pack's last home game will be on Monday, the 17th when they play host to Elon at 2:00.
