Gugliotta Won't be Available for Olympics

Former NC State basketball star Tom Gugliotta has told U.S. Olympic officials that he will not be able to compete in this year's summer games in Sydney, Australia.

The Phoenix Suns forward is recovering from reconstructive knee surgery. Gugliotta was forced to undergo surgery after suffering ligament damage during a game earlier this month.

Though a full recovery is expected, doctors say it will be four or five months before they can predict when Gugliotta will be ready to resume his career.
