Wolfpack Begins Spring Workouts

RALEIGH, NC (March 22) -- The NC State football squad began a new era on Wednesday, as the Wolfpack took the field for the first time under new head coach Chuck Amato. The Pack worked out in helmets without pads for over two hours at the practice fields on campus.

"It was a typical first day," said Amato after practice. "There was a lot of thinking because of all of the new terminology, the new style and the new faces, but it was a productive day. The attitude was outstanding and the players were very attentive. I think we got some good work accomplished. It's nice for the players and the coaches to finally get on the field and get to learn about each other."

The Pack will practice 15 times in the next 29 days, culminating with the annual Red & White Spring Game on April 15.
