NC State Track Competes At Patriot Games

Fairfax, Va. (Feb. 7) - The NC State track and field teams competes in the Patriot Games on the campus of George Mason University this past weekend.

Junior Anne Marie Clark took first place in the pole vault on the women's side with a mark of 10'6". Clark also placed third in the 200 meters with a time of 25.76. Junior Kate Sabino was second in the mile (4:47.05), while Megan Coombs finished fourth (5:00.29). Also, Meredith Faircloth ran the 5,000 meters in 17:09.48 to finish second.

The men were lead by junior Scott Wirgau. Wirgau won the 3,000 meters with a time of 8:41.60, and Dean Bowker finished second (8:45.97). Eric Fonville placed fourth in the high jump and fifth in the long jump.
