NC State Wrestling Downed by Ohio

The loss dropped the Wolfpack to 7-4 in dual matches for the season, while Ohio's record rose to 13-4-1.
The 157 pound contest started the match off and got the Pack on the winning track early. Scott Garren was able to score a decision over Tom Seryak, 8-4, and give NC State and early 3-0 advantage.
John Wervey of Ohio evened the contest in the 165 pound contest. He was able to defeat NC State's Joel Dramis, 1-5 and create a stalemate at three.
In the 174 pound match, Kevin Boross avenged his loss earlier in the day against Navy, when he won a decision over Luke Moore, 10-4. The victory gave Boross a 12-3 record on the season.
The 184 pound affair saw the Pack continue it's momentum. NC State's Zach Breitenbach took a decision over Mark Shrout, 12-6 to give the Wolfpack a 9-3 advantage in the meet.
The 197 pound match started to turn the tide in the favor of Ohio. The Bobcat's Dan Bednar tallied a major decision over Jason Gore, 4-12 to pull Ohio to with two at 9-7.
No. 13 Tim Courtad proved to be a national force when he easily scored a 3-11 major decision over the Pack's Ngozi Collins. As a result of that match, the Bobcats took their first lead of the meet at 11-9.
Following an NC State forfeit in the 125 pound match, No. 17 Brad Wright of Ohio proved to be too much for NC State's Lee Carroll to handle. Wright was able to score a 11-2 major decision and create a 12 point advantage for the Bobcats in the meet, 9-21.
Shane Hartzler of Ohio salted the victory away for the Bobcats when he took home a decision in the 141 pound match. Hartzler defeated the Pack's Oraefo Brown, 8-3.
The final match of the meet saw NC State's Tommy Davis, ranked No. 14 in the nation, score a 9-6 decision over Alex Cooper.
