Anyone who doesn't think the ACC is a powerful basketball conference should
take a look at the ACC preseason media poll that was released on October 29.
NC State, a team many experts think is destined for an NCAA Tournament appearance this season, was picked to finish in sixth place. The Wolfpack returns three starters and numerous other contributors from a team that won 20 games last season.
But the five teams picked to finish ahead of the Pack will also welcome back a majority of their starters as well. That group is headed up by Duke, which received 83 first place votes and 826 points overall in the annual poll.
