Wolfpack Wrestling Sweeps The Field At NC State Duals

RALEIGH, N.C. (Jan. 8) - NC State wrestlers won three of the last four matches to take a come-from-behind 26-15 victory over Appalachian State and complete a three-match sweep in the NC State Duals, held Saturday at NC State*s Weisiger-Brown Building.
The Wolfpack, which improved to 3-1 in dual matches this season, also defeated The Citadel 36-9 and Seton Hall 26-12. In the other matches, Seton Hall easily defeated Appalachian State 30-6 and The Citadel 28-9. Applachian defeated The Citadel 37-4.
NC State's George Cintron and Zach Breitenbach both won three matches. At 125, Cintron defeated Troy Bartges of The Citadel 8-1, Davis Ilaria of Seton Hall 10-4, and Richard Caisse of Appalachian State 6-2. Breitenbach, wrestling at 184, beat Mike Regner of The Citadel 12-5, 18th-ranked Fikret Darzanoff of Seton Hall 6-4 in overtime, and Lucas Smith of Appalachian State 6-2.
