This was the first ACC conference game for the Wolfpack, as the Pack now holds a record of 2-2-1 overall. Maryland improves to 5-1 and 2-0 in ACC play, and posts its fourth straight shutout.
The Terrapin's Taylor Twellman notched the first goal of the day, as he headed in a Nouf Tajini cross at the 9:29 mark. The only other goal of the afternoon came from Maryland's Siba Mohammed in the 64th minute.
For the game, Maryland out shot the Pack 23-5. Eric Handley got the start in goal for NC State, and came away with 10 saves.
