Men's Basketball Tickets Go On Sale
9/14/1999 12:00:00 AM | Men's Basketball
With the opening of the 19,722-seat ESA, Wolfpack and college basketball fans have an outstanding opportunity to purchase season tickets for 17 home games. The 4,500 season tickets available in Reynolds Coliseum were sold out each year, but new pricing and more seats in the ESA will allow more fans the opportunity to experience Wolfpack basketball and the finest arena in the nation. The ESA will have all the modern conveniences expected in a premier arena, including convenient parking, padded seats with ample leg room, a video scoreboard, modern restrooms, excellent sightlines and accessible concession and merchandise areas.
"For decades, season tickets in Reynolds Coliseum have been virtually impossible for most fans to secure," said Athletics Director Les Robinson. "The ESA provides us with the opportunity to showcase Wolfpack Basketball to many more fans on a nightly basis. Our primary objective in setting prices in the ESA was to make NC State Basketball available to all fans."
Currently, all seats in the club and lower level sidecourt sections have sold out. Select seats are available in the lower level baseline, balcony sidecourt and balcony baseline sections. The average ticket price is less than $17 in the ESA. Lower level baseline season tickets are on sale for $374. Balcony sidecourt are $255, a 25 percent discount off the $20 price of single-game tickets in the section, and balcony baseline seats are $170, a 50 percent discount off the $20 single-game ticket price. In addition, through Austin Snack Crackers and Pepsi, NC State will offer a family section for each game where 500 balcony level seats will be made available for $5 each prior to each game.
"The balcony seats are discounted for season ticket purchases in an effort to provide young alumni and families with an opportunity to see Wolfpack basketball on a regular basis," said Robinson. "Because of limited seating in Reynolds Coliseum, they have not had that chance in the past."
With a minimum purchase of four season tickets, fans will have the opportunity to buy a season parking pass for $75. There are over 4,000 parking spaces available at the ESA and another 4,000 spaces at Carter-Finley Stadium. Season ticket holders will also receive two general admission tickets to the Pack's two exhibition games, which will be played in Reynolds Coliseum.
NC State will open play in the ESA on Friday, Nov. 19 against Georgia. Tickets are available by calling the NC State ticket office at 515-2106 locally or (800) 310-PACK.
