Men's Soccer Drops 3-0 Loss to UConn

DURHAM, NC (Sept. 11) -- The University of Connecticut men's soccer team defeated NC State, 3-0, as junior Edwin Rivera contriubuted a hat trick in the first round of the Duke Adidas/Foot Locker Tournament.
Connecticut took the lead at the 39:15 mark, when Rivera knocked in his first goal of the day. Rivera opened up the lead just 1:01 later to make the score 2-0. Rivera completed his hat trick with his third goal of the evening at the 71:32 mark. Junior Darin Lewis (Trenton, NJ) recorded two assists in the win for the Huskies.
