Pack & CP&L Join Forces

As part of this agreement, CP&L will recognize student-athlete "Community Champions" based on their community service and classroom performance. The recognized athletes will be announced during statewide radio broadcasts of NC State football and basketball games and details of the athletes' contributions to the community will be featured on NC State's web site.
In addition, CP&L will have high visibility in various NC State athletic arenas and ensure the continuation of Wolfpack broadcasts to fans throughout the state.
"We are proud to add CP&L to the Wolfpack Family," said Les Robinson, Director of Athletics. "We are especially proud of the fact that CP&L has decided to recognize the community-service contributions of our student-athletes through the "CP&L Community Champion" program. On behalf of the NC State Athletic Department, we thank CP&L for their commitment to Wolfpack athletics."
Headquartered in Raleigh, CP&L provides electricity and energy services to 1.2 million customers in the Carolinas and provides natural gas distribution and service, through a wholly owned subsidiary, to about 178,000 customers in eastern and southern North Carolina.
