GOPACK.com Gets a Face Lift
8/18/1999 12:00:00 AM | Pack Athletics
Welcome to the new GOPACK.com, the official web site of NC State athletics. This truly is an exciting time to be a Wolfpack fan and we hope some of the improvements we're making to this site will add to that excitement.
What's new? Well, if you've visited us before, you'll probably have no problems recognizing a design change. Our first priority was to splash our new artwork with as much red as possible. Just like a Kenny Inge dunk, we hope to grab your attention right away with our new color scheme!
The new front page will feature at least two updated headlines. The men's and women's sports menu on the left side of your computer screen is quick and easy to use. Information on tickets, the Wolfpack Club and other items of interest are also just a click away.
Wolfpack fans can't get enough information on their favorite teams. That's where yours truly comes in. Along with my regular duties on the radio, I am also responsible for making sure that the content on this site is fresh and interesting. Fortunately, I'll have a lot of help in making that happen.
We're pooling together all of the resources available to make sure all Wolfpack fans are up-to-date and in the know on a daily basis. Most of the releases and statistical information put out by the NC State Sports Information department will appear on this site.
Gary Hahn, 'the voice of the Wolfpack', will write a regular column called 'Gary's Game Notes'. Gary's pre-game preparation has reached legendary proportions and I suspect he'll share with you some of what he's learned about an upcoming match-up.
Game stories will appear on this site long before the morning paper arrives on your doorstep.
My column will be called 'Haynes World'. What a world it is. They actually pay me to talk and write about NC State athletics. This truly is a dream job for a member of the class of 84. Not only that, but I get to share my dream with thousands of Wolfpack fans all over the world. Other than maybe a big victory over UNC-Chapel Hill, what could possibly be better!
Thanks for stopping by and we hope to see you again.
