West Virginia won the team championship with 157 points, and Navy narrowly defeated NC State for second, 116 to 112.
Pryor swept through the 157-pound class, defeating three of his four victims with first-period falls to win the tournament's Outstanding Wrestler Award. Pryor won the finals by pinning 17th-ranked Joe Carr of West Virginia in 2:34, which was Pryor's slowest fall of the tournament. He put Navy's Mike Boettcher on his back at 1:08 in the first round, and then pinned James Madison's Jimmy O'Connor at 1:19 in the semifinals. Pryor now has 13 pins in his career.
Boross's romp through the 174-pound class was also convincing. Boross pinned Scott Taylor of Western Maryland at 1:27 in the first round, then defeated Jeromy Devlin of Virginia Tech 8-4 in the quarterfinals. Navy's Mike Weiner defaulted in the semifinals, and Boross swept the mat with Justin Haskins of Rutgers, winning by major decision, 12-3.
Redshirt freshman George Cintron placed third at 125 pounds, and Joel Dramis lost a tiebreaker in the finals at 165 to take second place. True freshman Scott Garren finished fifth at 165. Junior Zach Breitenbach lost by a point in the consolation finals to take third place at 184, and sophomore Billy Noble finished sixth at 197.
