Men's Soccer Downed By UNC Greensboro 1-0
10/31/1999 12:00:00 AM | Men's Soccer
The Wolfpack (6-5-3, 1-3-1 ACC) and UNCG (11-7) played through a scoreless first half. State*s Matt Tabor had the best scoring opportunity of the first half, when his shot hit off the top crossbar.
As it appeared the game was going into overtime, UNCG scored the only goal of the contest. Substitute Kenny Bundy headed in a Mike Dunaway cross from the right wing at the 76:25 mark to give the Spartans all the offense they would need.
UNCG's Greg Rabner recorded the shutout, as he made five saves. State's Mitchell Watson finished the game with seven saves.
NCSU will play its last home game of the 1999 season this Wednesday, as the Wolfpack play host to the ECU Pirates in a 2:30 p.m. game at Method Road.
