2019 Spring Game Student Combine
The NC State Athletics and the Wolfpack Football program are hosting a Student Combine and are challenging your team! The top two teams from the semi-final round will compete to be crowned the NC State Student Combine Champions at halftime of the Kay Yow Spring Game on Saturday, April 6 at 1 PM.
TEAM REGISTRATION INFO: Team entries must be received no later than Monday, April 1 at 11:59 PM.
Each team must be:
- Composed of four (4) members.
- Comprised of ONLY NC State Students. A valid NC State photo ID will be required to compete during the semi-final and championship rounds.
- Co-ed - Two members of each
- Present at the semi-finals on Wednesday, April 3 in order to advance to the championships on Saturday, April 6
CONTEST FORMAT:
- 40 yd. Dash: The first team member will run a 40 yard dash from the goal line to the 40 yard line.
- DB Backpedal Drill: The second team member will backpedal and cut past four cones spread out over a 20 yard span.
- Trash Can Toss: The third team member must throw footballs into trash cans 10+ yards away.
- Fair Catch: The fourth team member must punt a ball about 25 yards to another member of the team. Points will be calculated by the most punts successfully caught in 1-minute.
Tiebreaker scenario: If multiple teams share the same point totals, the tiebreaker will be determined by a head to head 40 yard dash between teams. The teams must select a team member who did not run the 40 yard dash in the original attempt.
Point System: The team with the winning time or amount will be awarded 1 point. The second place team will be awarded 2 points, third place awarded 3 points, and so on. These totals will be added up at the conclusion of competition. The team with the lowest combined point total will be the winner.
CONTEST PRIZE:
Student Combine Prizes: The first place team will receive a Wolfpack prize pack including sideline passes for each member of the team plus one friend each to a select 2019 NC State home football game, Adidas NC State Football apparel and items from NC State's corporate partners.
The second place team will receive gift cards compliments of NC State Athletics.

SEMI-FINALS INFO:
The semi-final round of the Spring Game Student Combine will take place on Wednesday, April 3 at 7 PM at the Close-King Indoor Practice Facility. Check-in will open at 6:30 PM. The top two teams from the semi-final round will advance to compete for the championship, which will take place on the field at Carter-Finley Stadium during halftime of the Kay Yow Spring Game on Saturday, April 6.
Each team member must fill out the waiver below and bring a signed copy to the semi-final round on Wednesday, April 3 and the championship round on Saturday, April 6. CLICK HERE FOR WAIVER
PARKING INFO:
Wednesday, April 3: Free parking will be at the parking lot next to the Close-King Indoor Practice Facility.
