Kowohl Named To All-Region Team

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - Laura Kowohl of the NC State women's golf team has been selected as a member of the 2017-18 Division I San Francisco All-Region Team by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) thanks to her stellar postseason play.

She turned in a one-under par 71 on all three days of competition at the NCAA San Francisco Regional, hosted by Stanford at TPC Harding Park, en route to a tie for eighth place out of 96 players with a 54-hole score of 213. The Kronau, Germany, native finished in a tie for the third individual spot not on a team that advanced to the NCAA Championship, but ultimately fell in a playoff with Oklahoma State's Emma Bronze.

Her top 10 showing was the fourth-best individual finish in program history at an NCAA Regional, and her 54-hole score was the second lowest in program history during postseason play.

The rising senior led the team with a 73.87 stroke average throughout the year. She posted six top 20 individual finishes, including four in the top 10, and eight under par rounds.
