NC State makes the NCAA Regional for 10th time in last 11 Years

RALEIGH – The NC State men's golf team has been selected as the No. 6 seed in the Raleigh Regional and will host at Lonnie Poole Golf Course from May 14-16.
The selection marks the 10th time in the last 11 years NC State has advanced to an NCAA Regional.
The Pack enters the NCAA Regional coming off shooting its best score at the ACC Championship since 2002 with a three-round score of 846. Stephen Franken led the Pack with a three-day score of 10-under par. The sixth-place finish was the Raleigh native's seventh top-10 finish in 10 tournaments.
Franken's round average of 70.27 this season ranks second in the NC State record book for lowest average round in a season. The NC State junior was recently named a semifinalist for the 2018 Jack Nicklaus National Player of the Year Award!
Six 54-hole regional tournaments will be conducted May 14-16. The low five teams and the low individual not on those teams from each regional will advance to the finals.
Team and individual medalist titles will be decided May 25-30 at Karsten Creek Golf Club in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Oklahoma State University is the host institution for the 2018 championships.
