
Pack Takes Eighth At #ACCWGolf Championship

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The NC State women's golf team put together its best round of the 2018 ACC Championship on Monday afternoon to finish in a tie for eighth with UNC-Chapel Hill out of 12 teams. The Wolfpack shot a five-over par 293 to complete the tournament with an 895 (+31).
Duke captured the team title with a 15-under par 849, while Florida State placed second with a 12-over 876 and Clemson rounded out the podium with an 877.
Laura Kowohl garnered her fifth top 20 showing of her career and best outing at the ACC Championship, as she fired an even-par 72 to finish in a tie for 12th with a 219 (+3) for the tournament. Her 54-hole score is the fourth-best in program history.
India Clyburn finished in the top 25 of the player standings, as she shot 74 in round three for a combined 223 (+7) to finish T22nd. Cecily Overbey shot another three-over 75 on Monday to finish T34th with an 11-over par 227.
Monika shaved eight strokes off of her previous two rounds on Monday, carding a 72 to improve nine spots on the leaderboard and finish T47th with a 232 (+16). Naomi Ko shot 79 in the final round to finish T52nd overall with a 235 (+19).
NC State will await its fate for the NCAA Regional Championship May 7-9. The selection show will be broadcast on the Golf Channel April 25 at 5:30 p.m.
