Women's Tennis Rises to #33 in National Rankings

TEMPE, Ariz. – The NC State women's tennis team moved up to #33 in the latest Oracle/ITA team rankings, as announced by the organization Tuesday.
Claudia Wiktorin & Anna Rogers were tabbed at #25 in the doubles rankings while Rogers and Adriana Reami were featured in the singles rankings at #87 and #94.
Since last week's Oracle/ITA rankings were released the Wolfpack hosted doubleheaders on Apr. 13 and Apr. 15. On Apr. 13 it defeated #28 Wake Forest 4-3 and NC Central 7-0 then on Apr. 15 it fell 5-2 to #22 Virginia then bounced back to beat Winthrop 4-3.
Doubles
Wiktorin & Rogers landed at #25 in the doubles rankings. Since the most recent doubles rankings came out on Apr. 10 the duo have a 2-2 record; they defeated #34 Emma Davis and Chandler Carter of Wake Forest 7-5 and NC Central's Jamie Rogers and Polina Sakharova 6-1 on Apr.13.
Singles
In singles, Rogers was tabbed at #87 and Reami at #94. Since last week's rankings Rogers defeated Jamie Rogers of NC Central on Apr. 13 6-2, 6-1 while Reami earned a win on Apr. 13 over NC Central's Maru Berghaus 6-0, 6-0 then two more on Apr. 15 as she defeated Virginia's Meghan Kelley 6-3, 6-4 and Winthrop's Alisa Soloveva 5-7, 6-0, 6-3.
