
Women’s Golf Travels To LSU Tiger Classic

RALEIGH – The NC State women's golf team will head to Baton Rouge, La., for the LSU Tiger Classic this weekend. The tournament will run Friday through Sunday at The University Club, and the Pack is one of 13 teams in the field.

Format – 54 holes (18 holes Friday, Saturday and Sunday)

NC State played in the Wildcat Invitational and finished in a tie for ninth out of 17 teams with an 895 (298-298-299). India Clyburn garnered her third top 20 finish of the year as she finished T14th with a two-over par 218. Cecily Overbey fired a 73 on the final day to move 20 spots up the leaderboard and finish T30th.
Last Year At The LSU Tiger Classic
Last year at the LSU Tiger Classic NC State finished fourth out of 15 teams with a 16-over par 880 (290-298-292). India Clyburn and Sarah Bae paced the Pack with top 10 finishes while Naomi Ko finished among the top 25.
Kowohl Named ACC Golfer Of The Month
Laura Kowohl was named ACC Golfer Of The Month for February on Tuesday. She compiled a 74.5 scoring average for the month as she helped the Pack to a pair of fourth-place finishes. Five of her six rounds counted towards the team tournament total.
She opened the spring season with a third-place finish out of 66 players at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic (Feb. 11-13), with a seven-over par 220. She posted scores of 73, 75 and 72 en route to earning her second top-five finish of the year.
At the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate (Feb. 18-20), she finished in a tie for 32nd out of 90 participants with a three-day total of 227 (+11), shooting rounds of 77, 74 and 76.
