RALEIGH – After serving two seasons as director of operations with the NC State women's soccer team, Jenna Kalwa has been hired by Rhode Island as an assistant coach.
"I'm thrilled for Jenna to get this opportunity at Rhode Island," said head coach Tim Santoro. "She's done it the old fashioned way, which we don't see enough of any more. She's put in time coaching club soccer, working youth camps, taking coaching courses and putting in time as a Director of Operations. That shows true commitment and real dedication to the craft. The type of person Jenna is will always be successful."

She was a member of the staff during the program's breakout 2016 season and historical 2017 campaign, highlighted by back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances.
Kalwa, a graduate of NC State, was a two-year starter in the midfield during the 2014 and 2015 seasons after transferring from Penn State, Kalwa played 38 of a possible 38 matches, earning 36 starts. She scored one goal and chipped in four assists during her two seasons wearing the Red & White.
