Junior Stephen Franken finishes in third place for his fourth consecutive top-5
Final Results
The NC State men's golf team shot a final round 300 to finish in a tie for seventh place out of 15 teams at the Puerto Rico Classic held on the Rio Mar Country Club Ocean Course in Rio Mar, Puerto Rico.
Clemson won the tournament by one shot over Oklahoma.
Junior Stephen Franken led the Pack, tying for third place with a final scorecard of 62-74-73--209. The third-place finish is the fourth consecutive top-five finish for the NC State junior
Freshman Easton Paxton finished in a tie for 26th with a 219 (72-71-76).
Nolan Mills Jr. recorded a 47th place finish with a 224 (73-73-78) and Justin Hood came in 49th place with a score of 225 (71-76-78).
Christian Salzer tied Franken for the top score in the third and final round, shooting a 73 to finish with a final score of 233 (71-89-73).
Participating as an individual on the River Course, Dwight Cauthen carded an 82-79-75—236 to finish in a tie for 20th place in that tournament.
The Pack returns to action Saturday, March 10 when it competes in the General Hackler Championship in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
