NC State to host eight home games and one exhibition prior to beginning of league play

RALEIGH – The NC State women's basketball team released a competitive nonconference schedule for the 2017-18 season on Monday. Featuring 14 total dates, the schedule includes eight regular-season contests inside Reynolds Coliseum and one exhibition. The schedule includes seven postseason teams from a year ago and the opponents on the list concluded the 2016-17 season with an average RPI of 140.
Following a Nov. 2 free exhibition against Lee University, the Wolfpack opens the season with four straight home games between Nov. 10-17. NC State then plays four straight games away from home before returning to the friendly confines of Reynolds Coliseum for another four-game home stand between Dec. 3-16. During this second stretch in Raleigh, three of the four teams NC State will play finished the previous season with an RPI inside the top 74.
The Wolfpack then closes the nonconference portion of the season at Vanderbilt on Dec. 19.
