Final Standings

RALEIGH – With a 29th-place finish in the 2016-17 Learfield Sports Directors' Cup standings, NC State has now posted the three highest finishes ever over the last three years. The 29th-place result is the second best achieved in school history.

One year prior to Debbie Yow's arrival as Director of Athletics, one of NC State's programs finished in the top 25 of its final rankings. The last three academic years (2014-15, 2015-16, and 2016-17) have featured NC State's programs achieving this feat 29 times.

The Directors' Cup has been the gold standard for recognizing broad-based competitive excellence in collegiate athletics since its inception in 1993-94. Schools earn their ranking exclusively through advancement in NCAA postseason championships.
