GREENSBORO, N.C. – Stephen Franken and Harrison Rhoades of the NC State men's golf team earned spots on the 2017 All-ACC Academic Men's Golf Team, the league office announced on Monday. The honor is the second consecutive for Franken.

Dean's List fall 2016 … PING All-Region Team ... All-ACC Team … Competed in all 12 tournaments and 34 rounds of the season … Finished first on the team in stroke average at 71.17 strokes per round (fourth lowest in program history) … Recorded eight top-20 finishes and six top-10 results … Finished third at the Bridgestone Intercollegiate (207, -9) … Placed fourth at the Hootie at Bulls Bay (208, -8) … Tied for fifth at the ACC Championship (212, -4) … Tied for 45th at the NCAA Austin Regional (222, +9) … Led the team with 21 of his 34 rounds (.617) being under or at par … Ranked third on the team with 32 (.914) of his rounds counting towards the team's score at official tournaments … During the middle of the season, finished within the top 19 of a tournament field at eight consecutive tournaments … Was NC State's top finisher in five of 12 tournaments … Season low round was a 66 and best 54-hole score was a 207.Â

Dean's List spring 2017 … Competed in nine tournaments and 26 rounds during the 2017 spring season after transferring from Georgetown … Ranked fourth on the team with a stroke average of 73.0 per round … Earned three top-20 results and one top-10 finish … Tied for sixth at the Georgia Southern Individual Tournament (216, E) … Tied for 16th at the Wolfpack Spring Open (212, -1) … Tied for 18th at the ACC Championship (219, +3) … Tied for 31st at the NCAA Austin Regional (219, +6) … Seven of his 26 rounds (.269) were at or below par … Seventeen of his 23 rounds in team tournaments (.739) counted towards the team's score.Â
