
Pack Wraps Up Bill Carson Invite

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State track and field team concluded the Bill Carson Invite on Saturday afternoon. The team posted four event wins and concluded the meet with 11 top-three finishes.
Sprints:
Gabriele Cunningham led the way with three top-three finishes. The sophomore took second in the 100m and 200m, and finished third in the 100m hurdles. Cunningham set a personal best in 200m with a time of 23.98 and added a quick marks of 13.91 in the 100m hurdles and 11.75 in the 100m.
Cravont Charleston led the men's sprinters with a victory in the 100m and a runner-up finish in the 200m. Charleston crossed the finish line in 10.42 in the 100m, besting the second-place finisher by over .10. In the 200m, the freshman finished with a time of 21.34.
In the 400m, Dejah Arnold took sixth with a season-best 56.84. In the men's race, Abdur Rahmaan Kelly crossed the line in 48.21 to set a new personal best in the event for third overall.
The men's 4x400 relay added a season high 3:12.37 for the win, besting its previous best mark by almost two seconds. The squad's time also moves the team into a regional qualifying position and is ranked 41st in the East Preliminary.
Mid-Distance:
Megan Rempel added another event win for the Wolfpack, taking the win in the women's 800m with a time of 2:12.43 for a new personal best. The time was a near four-second improvement from her first 800m of the season. Bethany Neeley took third in the event with a time of 2:13.68. In the men's race, Jack Hagood finished second with a time of 1:53.98.
Jumps:
Javonne Antoine won her second triple jump competition of the season with a jump of 40'2.75". Amara Bell added a fifth-place finish with a jump of 38'6.00".
In the women's high jump, Margaret Edwards made her season debut, clearing the bar at 5'5.00" to finish fifth overall.

NC State will head to the Charlotte Invitational next weekend.
