
Sprinters & Jumpers Shine on Day 2 of Penn Relays Carnival

The Wolfpack sprinters  and jumpers highlighted the Wolfpack's second day of competition in Philadelphia, posting five top 10 finishes at Friday's Penn Relays.

Sophomore Gabriele Cunningham clocked in at 11.54 to finish fifth in the college division of the 100 meter dash, earning a spot in Saturday's Championship Invitational. The Charlotte native also posted a career best (non-wind aided) mark of 13.81 in the 100m hurdles to finish 10th in the field of 27. She missed qualifying for the finals in that event by 0.01.

On the men's side, freshman Cravont Charleston finished in fourth place in the 100m with a 10.42 and will compete in the Championship Invitational in that event tomorrow as well.
Javonne Antoine was the runner up in the college division of the women's triple jump, jumping 12.63 (41-5.25). Amara Bell finished third behind her teammate, measuring a PR of 12.41 (40-8.75).
Charleston was also a member of the NC State's squad that finished fifth in the College Men's Sprint Medley Championship of America Invitational. He teamed with Dylan Peebles, Sam Krehnbrink and Abdur-Rahmaan Kelly to turn in a time of 3:21.59.

Christoper Garrick and JaTory Reid finished 30th and 44th respectively in the college high jump with marks of 2.04m (6-8.25) and 2.00m (6-6.75).

The day started with RS-junior Joshua Davis throwing a personal best 49.81 (163-5) in the college division discus, a mark that finished in 14th place.Â
