Five Named to USTFCCCA's All-Academic Team

Men's, women's team named All-Academic

NEW ORLEANS - Five from the NC State men's and women's cross country teams were named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team.
In order to qualify, athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 and finish in the top-25 (or 10 percent) at regionals or be named as an All-American at the national meet.
On the women's team, Ryen Frazier, Elly Henes, Erika Kemp and Alyssa Rudawsky were awarded the honor. All four Wolfpack women were members of the fourth-place finishing NCAA team and were named All-Region. Frazier, Henes and Rudawsky were also named to the All-ACC team.
Frazier is now a two-time All-Academic recipient while this marks Kemp's third time receiving the honor.
Aubrey Myjer represented the men's team on the list. Myjer earned All-Regional after finishing 10th at the NCAA Southeast Regional meet and was a member of the NCAA team that finished 22nd.
Additionally, both the men's and women's programs were named All-Academic as a team, with the women posting an average GPA of 3.28 to earn All-Academic with distinction. The men's program earned an average GPA of 3.19.
The Wolfpack's five 2016 honorees ties the program's most recipients, initially set in 2006.
