Wolfpack Heads To Pittsburgh For Sunday Matchup

RALEIGH – The NC State women's soccer team (8-4-1, 1-3-1 ACC) will conclude its four-match road swing Sunday afternoon when it travels to Pittsburgh (3-7-3, 0-4-1 ACC). Kickoff is 12 p.m. at Ambrose Urbanic Field and the match will be broadcast on the ACC Network Extra.

LAST TIME OUT
NC State faced its third straight top 25 conference opponent on Thursday evening when it traveled to No. 4 Duke, and dropped a 2-0 result at Koskinen Stadium.

SERIES HISTORY
NC State and Pitt have met five times in program history, as the Pack leads 3-2 in the all-time series. Last season NC State earned a 2-1 win in overtime against the Panthers to clinch a spot in the ACC Championship for the first time since 2006.

A win Sunday would mark the team's ninth of the season and second over an ACC opponent.

PACK IN THE RANKINGS
In the latest United Soccer Coaches Poll, NC State is receiving votes and is 34th overall. The Pack has been in the top 25 or receiving votes for the national poll the entire season. NC State is additionally listed at No. 40 in the latest RPI.

PACK YOUTH
Of the 21 goals scored this season 17 of them have come from underclassmen, while 16 of the 21 assists tallied have been credited to the team's freshmen and sophomores. The Wolfpack underclassmen have additionally logged 54 percent of the team's minutes on the field.

SCOUTING PITTSBURGH
Pitt holds a 3-7-3 ledger this season with a 0-4-1 record in ACC play. The Panthers hosted Syracuse on Thursday evening and fell 2-0 to mark their third consecutive loss.

Pitt has scored nine goals this season, with three of them coming from Taylor Pryce. She also leads the squad with eight points and 29 shots. Katelyn McEachern has started 12 games in goal for her team, as she holds a .793 save percentage with 65.
