Â
RALEIGH – The NC State women's basketball team has added Brandon Miller to its staff as the Director of Scouting and Video Operations, 2017 ACC Coach of the Year Wes Moore announced Monday.
Â
Miller was most recently at Boston College for the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons as the women's basketball team's Video Production Analyst.
Â
"Brandon Miller brings a lot of experience to the table," Moore said. "When you are adding a position at this time of the year right at the start of the season, we felt as though it was really important to have someone who can come in and hit the ground running. He has 11 years of video experience at the Division I level, with many of those years coming in the ACC, and those qualities alone set him apart. We're also impressed with just the kind of person he is and the way he thinks outside of the box. He really brings a lot of good qualities and is a great addition to our staff."
Â
Prior to Boston College, Miller was at North Texas as the team's Director of Operations from 2012-15. He also spent two seasons as the Video Coordinator for Clemson and two seasons as the Video Coordinator at Louisville.
Â
"I am really excited to come in and be a part of this strong program," Miller said. "To be able to continue to work at a high level in the ACC and work with the great people on this coaching staff is an excellent opportunity. The season is right around the corner and I am looking forward to getting started."
Â
A 2004 graduate of High Point University, Miller earned a degree in business administration and sport management. He also has a master's degree in sport management from the University of Florida that he earned in 2007.
Â
Miller is married to the former Heather Maddern. The couple resides in Cary, N.C.
Â
NC State hosts Lee University in a free exhibition game at Reynolds Coliseum on Thursday, November 2 at 7 p.m. The official home opener for the 2017-18 season will take place against Jacksonville on Friday, Nov. 10 at 5 p.m.
