
Women’s Soccer To Host Syracuse Saturday Afternoon

RALEIGH – The NC State women's soccer team (9-4-1, 2-3-1 ACC) is set to hold its annual Pink Match presented by UNC Rex Healthcare Saturday when it welcomes Syracuse (7-5-2, 2-3-1 ACC) to Dail Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is 2 p.m. and the contest will be broadcast on the ACC Network Extra.
LAST TIME OUT
NC State capped off a four-match road swing with a 3-2 win at Pittsburgh on Sunday, picking up its ninth win of the season and second against an ACC opponent.
Maxine Blackwood scored goals in the 11th and 60th minutes, while Taylor Porter netted her first of the season in the 57th minute. As a team the Pack tallied 13 shots, the most against a conference opponent this season, with a .538 shot-on-goal percentage against the Panthers.
RETURNING HOME
With four matches left on the regular season schedule, three of them will be contested at Dail Soccer Stadium. NC State will also face Clemson Oct. 19 and Louisville Oct. 26 at home.
SERIES HISTORY
NC State and Syracuse have only met twice in program history, as the Orange have won both contests. The teams last met on Oct. 18, 2015, and Syracuse won 3-0.
A win Saturday would mark the 10th of the season and third against a conference foe.
