LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Despite taking an early lead in their second-round doubles match at the 2017 Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships, junior Bianca Moldovan & sophomore Adriana Reami were ultimately defeated at the Riviera Tennis Club.
Taking on Georgia's Mariana Gould & Katarina Jokic, Moldovan & Reami raced out to a 5-2 lead, however they were unable to sustain their lead and were ultimately edged 8-5.
Despite the loss, assistant coach David Secker took some positives out of the match.
"We started the right way, exactly what we had talked about but unfortunately lost our way once we got in a position to win the match."
