No. 9 NC State Rifle to Host North Georgia Sunday Inside Reynolds Coliseum

Wolfpack to host second home match of the season
RALEIGH, N.C. – The ninth-ranked NC State rifle team will host its second home match of the 2016-17 season Sunday when the North Georgia Nighthawks visit Raleigh. Competition is slated to begin at 10 a.m. inside Reynolds Coliseum.

NC State athletics will also host a Reynolds Coliseum Open House in conjunction with the rifle match Sunday. Admission to both events is FREE.

The Wolfpack heads into the weekend with a 9-5 overall record and occupies the ninth ranking in the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) Poll.

Last Time Out
In its last outing, NC State completed a weekend sweep with a Great America Rifle Conference (GARC) victory against Ole Miss. The Wolfpack slipped past the Rebels on Sunday with a 4658-4653 win following a victory the previous day against UT Martin.

Last Time in Reynolds
In front of a record 1,842 fans, the Pack fired a team score of 4671, which broke the program record for highest team score at the time, versus top-ranked West Virginia on Oct. 15, 2016, but the mark has since been broken.

NC State's air rifle team score of 2366 in that match is the best for the squad in a match this season.

Wolfpack Connection
North Georgia head coach Tori Kostecki is a former NC State shooter and competed under current Wolfpack head coach Keith Miller. Kostecki was a member of the Pack rifle team during the 2006-07 season.
