NC State is 5-2 in ACC play with three wins over top-15 opponents

RALEIGH – Off to a 5-2 start to Atlantic Coast Conference play which includes three wins over teams ranked within the national top 15, the NC State women's basketball team (15-5, 5-2 ACC) moved up three spots Tuesday from 21st to 18th in the January 24 USA Today poll.

This news comes one day after the Wolfpack also moved up to No. 18 in the January 23 AP poll.

During the past week, NC State had a bye on Thursday, Jan. 19 and defeated Clemson 65-53 inside Reynolds Coliseum on Sunday, Jan. 22. The Wolfpack is 11-1 when playing on Kay Yow Court this season and hosts Pittsburgh on Thursday, Jan. 26 (7 p.m. on ACC Network Extra) before traveling to nearby UNC-Chapel Hill Sunday, Jan. 29 (3 p.m. on RSN).
