Meet Laura Kowohl, the sophomore who does it all. If you follow NC State golf, then you already know Kowohl for her outstanding freshman year as she made appearances in six of the team's 10 tournaments and turned in a career-low score of 70 twice along with two top-30 finishes, but there is so much more to know.
Â
The 19-year-old, born and raised in Heidelberg, Germany, moved to the United States to join the Wolfpack in August of 2015. On top of adjusting to a foreign country, keeping up with golf and excelling in academics, Kowohl has continued to expand her personal blog and social media platforms. Blogging seems to be popping up everywhere these days and covers a wide variety of topics anywhere from makeup to food to cars. Kowohl's year-old blog, The Cute Chaos, revolves around lifestyle and fashion in addition to college living.
Â
"I want to focus more on lifestyle and fashion and want to help guide students through college -- with the right outfit of course," Kowohl mentioned.Â
Â
Kowohl started her blog just over a year ago with aspirations to create and inspire, but has since began to consider blogging as a career path after graduation to go along with her communication major and business minor.Â
Â
"I think the world has so many wonderful places, stories and people, and I really want to discover them all."Â
Â
The Cute Chaos is not only aesthetically pleasing with professional-level design and crystal clear pictures, but also has wonderful content that sends positive messages to over thirteen thousand followers around the world. Kowohl's lightheartedness and ambitious personality has helped her push through any adversity and continue to improve in all aspects of her busy life -- all while keeping a smile on her face.Â
Â
Being a Division I student-athlete can be difficult to juggle on its own, but she appreciates how much it has helped her improve on her time management skills.
Â
"I have so many things to do on a normal day that I wish a day had more than 24 hours, but I've learned through being a student-athlete that the most important thing about time management is setting priorities."Â Â
Â
Kowohl has been in love with the Wolfpack since her very first time stepping foot onto campus during her recruiting visit. Moving overseas to attend college was a tough decision for Kowohl and her family to make but Page Marsh, head coach of the women's golf team at NC State, eased any hesitations and made her feel completely supported and at home.  Â
Â
"I didn't find it hard in any way to introduce my teammates, friends or coaches to my blog when I got to NC State because I'm a really open-minded person. I love meeting new people and embracing different cultures and interests."Â Â Â Â Â
Â
Fans can keep up with Laura at The Cute Chaos and her Instagram page as she continues to follow her dreams and prepares for the 2016-17 season with the Pack.Â
