On her first head coaching victory…
"It's always good to start with a win. It's really nice to get one under our belt early and a really good way to start the season.
Â
"Our team did a really good job of sticking to the keys to the game. It was really nice to see them respond to some different scenarios right out of the gate. The first set was close point-for-point, in the second set we were able to make a run and put that set away pretty handily, and in the third set we dug ourselves a hole and had to work our way out of it."
Â
On the team's second-set win…
"I think we just got into a rhythm. Obviously, serving is key. While we missed quite a few serves, I thought we did a nice job of giving ourselves an opportunity when we were patient and did a nice job serving."
