Fans to get first glimpse of 2016 squad Sunday
RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State volleyball team will host its annual Red & White Intrasquad Scrimmage Sunday, Aug. 21 at 2 p.m., inside Carmichael Gym on courts 9-11.
With the massive renovation of Reynolds Coliseum nearing its completion, the Wolfpack will host its home matches in the facility this fall, but will not be able to use it for the intrasquad scrimmage.
Sunday's scrimmage will give fans a preview of the 2016 squad, as the team will play four or five sets with players on each team varying by set.
Admission for the event is free with gates set to open for fans one hour prior to the match at 1 p.m. The Wolfpack will host a post match autograph session following the conclusion of the event.
It will be the program's first intrasquad scrimmage under the direction of new head coach Linda Hampton-Keith. NC State has a talented core of players returning to the squad, along with a strong freshman class with three players named Under Armour High School All-Americans and a top-100 recruit by Prep Volleyball.
The Wolfpack officially opens its 2016 campaign against Northwestern State Aug. 26 at noon in a tournament hosted by TCU in Fort Worth, Texas.
