Turner Timeline: We Told You So

NC State's Trea Turner making the most of his first full season in the bigs
For Wolfpack nation, Trea Turner's sustained breakout for the Washington Nationals resides among the least surprising stories of 2016. His young career dotted with artificial obstacles overcome, the well-documented lack of scholarship offers or the December 2014 trade that sent him east to the Nats six months later, Turner sets a new high water mark on a weekly basis.
At 23 years old, Turner's already checked off far more than most thought possible. He's constructed a .319 average for the year. He's homered four times in 54 career games, tripled five times and stolen 12 bases. Once, he tripled, then stole home.
Those who watched Trea rewrite Wolfpack history on a daily basis inside Doak Field at Dail Park for three springs know these stories add up to more than stats. First and foremost, Trea wins. The Nats own an 8.5 game lead in the NL East, and the prospect of postseason play looms large for the Brooks Wallace Award winner.
As the MLB season begins its crescendo, Wolfpackers will nod along as Trea adds to the list of highlights featured below. We've seen him do this before. Yet, Trea Turner's peak remains undefined. We're still watching the ascent...
