
Tocho Named IRON WOLF by Strength & Conditioning Staff

RALEIGH, N.C. - At tonight's team meeting, the Wolfpack Strength & Conditioning staff presented trophies to the winners of its summer awards. Director of Strength & Conditioning for Football, Dantonio "Thunder" Burnette, presented awards to the top performer on offense, defense and overall.
Graduate cornerback Jack Tocho was the winner of the Iron Wolf Award, given to the team's top overall summer strength and conditioning performer. Between the summer of 2015 and 2016, the Charlotte native increased his vertical jump by 3.5 inches, his broad jump by 5.5", his clean by 22 pounds and upped his bench by 20 pounds.
Junior defensive end Bradley Chubb earned the Alpha Wolf Award for the defense, after adding 15 lbs. to his bodyweight in the past year. Chubb also increased his broad jump by three inches, while adding 33 lbs. to his clean, 25 lbs. to his bench max and 80 lbs. to his squat.
Wide receiver Gavin Locklear was the Offensive Alpha Wolf Award winner. In addition to a 10 lb. increase in bodyweight, the junior improved his broad jump by 8.5 inches. In terms of strength, he added 37 lbs. to his clean and 35 lbs. to his squat in the past year.
