INDIANAPOLIS - Fueled by the incredible support of Wolfpack Nation, the NC State men's basketball team finished the 2015-16 season ranked eighth in average attendance by the NCAA, extending its streak in the top 25 to 17 consecutive seasons and earning its second highest ranking in program history.
Â
The Pack averaged 16,758 fans per game to break its previous school record in average attendance of 16,535 fans per game from 2000.  NC State posted a 1,322 fan per game improvement – good for the 14th largest improvement in the NCAA this season.
Â
The Wolfpack brought in 301,646 fans for 18 home games for the third highest mark in school history. Only the 2014-15 and the 1999-2000 seasons brought more fans into PNC Arena.
Â
The No. 8 ranking marks just the second time the Pack has finished the year ranked in the top 10 since the NCAA began keeping attendance figures in 1978.
Â
NC State set its program record for total attendance and highest attendance ranking during the 1999-2000 season. Highlighted by the grand opening of PNC Arena, NC State brought in 330,709 fans, which ranked seventh in the NCAA.
