Swimming And Diving Lands 12 On CSCAA Scholar All-America List

Eight more named honorable mention selections
RALEIGH- Seven members of the NC State men's swimming and diving team and five members of the women's squad from the 2015-16 season were named Individual Scholar All-Americans, as announced by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) on Wednesday morning.Â

An additional eight from the program were recognized as honorable mention selections, giving the team a combined 20 student-athletes that landed on this year's list. This marks the highest number from the program to receive the honor in a given season.
Along with the numerous Individual Scholar All-America awards, both the men's and women's swimming and diving teams were recently recognized with the Team Scholar All-America Award for its academic excellence during the 2015-16 season.Â

The individual Scholar All-America selections recognize students that have achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and have participated in their respective NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. The honorable mention selections have similarly achieved a GPA of 3.50 and achieved a "B" time standard or competed at a regional or zone qualifying meet.
