The program announced its captains for the 2016-17 season
RALEIGH-Â The NC State swimming and diving team celebrated a successful 2015-16 season on Friday evening at its annual team banquet inside the University Club.
Â
As both the men's and women's programs marked history this past season at the conference and national level, the program had much to recognize and honor with friends and family.Â
Â
In addition to recognizing the program's achievements, the coaching staff handed out its annual awards and announced the captains for the 2016-17 season. On the women's side Lydia Jones, Natalie Labonge and Alexia Zevnik were nominated for the second consecutive year, while Geoffrey Carter, Soren Dahl and Hennessey Stuart were chosen to lead the Wolfpack men next season.Â
Â
Head coach Braden Holloway also announced the promotion of Gary Taylor to associate head coach. Taylor has played an instrumental part in the Wolfpack's rise to the top of the country, as he primarily works with the program's 'endurance speed' group.
