
Team NC State Ties for Second at 2016 Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl Challenge

Doeren, Harvey earn money for Wake County Schools
RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State head coach Dave Doeren and former Wolfpack star Terry Harvey finished in a tie for second at the annual Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl Challenge golf tournament yesterday at Reynolds Lake Oconee Resort outside Atlanta.
Doeren and Harvey turned in a -9 to finish in a tie with Team Georgia (Kirby Smart, David Dukes) and Team Georgia Tech (Paul Johnson, Jon Barry). A portion of the pair's $55,000 earnings will go to benefit Wake County Schools, while the rest will go to an endowed scholarship.
The annual event features NCAA head coaches and former athletes and celebrities from the same school competing against their rivals for a share of a $540,000 scholarship purse.
Doeren was also named the long drive champion, with a 261-yard drive.
