RALEIGH, N.C. –Paul Spencer will join the NC State men's tennis program in the fall of 2016, as announced by head coach Jon Choboy.

Spencer is a four-star recruit from Princeton, N.J. Spencer is ranked No. 102 in the national rankings, 14th in the Mid-Atlantic and third in state of New Jersey. He holds a combined 15-2 record against other four-stars and below and holds a win over a blue-chip recruit.

Spencer attended the Junior Tennis Championships Center (JTCC) and was coached by the well-known Vesa Ponkka. In total, the JTCC has sent athletes to 45 D1 colleges and universities.

"We're excited to have Paul join the team," said head coach Jon Choboy. "When he and his parents came down for a visit, we hit it off really well. We got really good recommendations from former players of mine that have worked with him over the years. He fits into the mold of a person that will come here and work really hard and become an impact player. We think he brings a lot of athletic ability to the table and I think he is going to flourish over the next four years. "

Spencer joins Sean Burnette in the class of 2016, giving the Pack two four-star prospects.
