Three Reasons to See This Team
1. NC State climbed to No. 13 in Perfect Game's Top 25 and No. 14 according to D1Baseball following a series win at Virginia. The Pack had two games washed out at FSU to finish a brutal road stretch 2-2. The Wolfpack plays two of its next three ACC series in Doak Field at Dail Park.
2. Brock Deatherage reached base in his 24th-consecutive game Wednesday night. The sophomore right fielder bats .310 and holds an 8-7 advantage on Josh McLain as the team's leading base stealer. Deatherage has gotten creative during the streak, reaching four times without a hit at Charlotte.
3. Ryan Williamson's 10 strikeouts Sunday against Virginia earned him ACC Pitcher of the Week honors and represented the most against a Cavalier lineup since 2014. The last pitcher to record more was Carlos Rodon, with 12 in 2012. Williamson starts Monday night on ESPNU.
