2016 Schedule
RALEIGH – The NC State women's soccer team released its 2016 schedule on Wednesday. Featuring eight home matches and seven contests against teams within the state of North Carolina, the latest slate also includes nine NCAA Tournament teams from a year ago and an average opponent RPI of 78.
August Schedule
Friday, Aug. 12 … at Richmond (exhibition) … 5 p.m.
Friday, Aug. 19 … vs. La Salle^ … 5 p.m.
Sunday, Aug. 21 … vs. San Diego^ … 11:30 a.m.
Thursday, Aug. 25 … at South Carolina … 6 p.m.
Sunday, Aug. 28 … NAVY … 1 p.m.
^ Wake Forest Tournament (Winston-Salem, N.C.)
Following two neutral-site contests to begin the season, the Wolfpack plays at South Carolina (12-5-3 last season) and hosts Navy (11-7-4 last season) for its home opener. NC State's last game against Navy—a 3-2 road victory on August 23, 2013—marked current head coach Tim Santoro's first match at the helm of the Wolfpack program.

The month of September features six of seven matches against in-state foes, one of which being the 2016 ACC opener at UNC-Chapel Hill on September 16. NC State will follow this match with two straight home contests against Notre Dame and Wake Forest to close out the month.

NC State's regular season ends in a very challenging manner, with five of the Wolfpack's final seven opponents having competed in the 2015 NCAA Tournament. Two—Duke and Florida State—advanced to the College Cup in Cary, NC, and one—Duke—moved on to the national championship game.
Postseason information regarding the 2016 ACC Tournament will be released in the near future.
