From The Coach's Perspective
"We're really proud of our three ladies that competed at the NCAA Regional Championship today," said head coach Mark Stevenson. "We hit all seven of our routines that were performed, as Brittni (Watkins) had the best performance of the year on all four events and missed going to nationals by one-tenth of a point. Chelsea (Knight) had her best vault of the year, as she stuck her landing and led the field through three rotations. Nicole (Wild) had a nice beam routine, but took a small step forward on her layout step-out which cost her.
"Overall though we had a very successful competition, and we're very proud of all of our girls that competed throughout the year. We beat four top-25 teams, including Nebraska who is now No. 12 in the country, and posted very strong and consistent scores on the road all year," Stevenson added.
