RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State's 2016 adidas Raleigh Relays was once again one of the largest and successful early-season outdoor track and field meets in the country, as 2,560 entries, including 2,306 individuals and 254 relay teams from more than 100 NCAA programs, high schools and professional clubs visited Raleigh for the meet.
Â
National Lists:
In total, 165 marks from the meet rank among the top-30 of Division I standings in individual events – including six marks that currently lead the country. The Raleigh Relays account for the most top-30 marks this season. The next closest meet has 91 top-30 marks.
Â
The meet was also a success on the Division II level, as 65 provisional qualifying marks were earned for the NCAA DII Track and Field Championships.
Â
With a long outdoor season remaining, some of those times will fall from the national lists, but many of the marks already solidify athletes for postseason meets.
Â
Home Sweet Home:
The Wolfpack preformed well on its home track, adding 17 national, 17 ACC qualifying and 33 regional qualifying marks.
