No. 43 NC State’s Late-Night Rally Powers Past No. 42 Notre Dame

Wolfpack earned its third victory over a nationally-ranked opponent this season
RALEIGH – No. 43 NC State women's tennis captured its third win over a nationally-ranked team Thursday night as it defeated No. 42 Notre Dame 4-3.
The Wolfpack women earned victories at the top four singles spots, including No. 63 Martina Frantova's 7-6 (7-3), 6-4 win over No. 45 Quinn Gleason. Frantova is now 8-5 against nationally-ranked opponents.
Joanna Nalborska tabbed a ranked win as well, downing No. 61 Monica Robinson 6-3, 6-7 (2-7), 6-4 while Claudia Wiktorin netted a straight-set win of 6-3, 6-2 over Brooke Broda in her second consecutive appearance at the No. 4 singles position.
Bianca Moldovan clinched the win for the Pack Thursday night as she rallied for a 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 victory over Allison Miller.
Moldovan, along with doubles partner Nalborska, collected a doubles win early in the match as the duo defeated Mary Closs and Julie Vrabel 6-0 before the Irish secured the doubles decision.
The Wolfpack returns to action Sunday to host No. 33 Virginia Tech in an 11 a.m. dual scheduled to stream live on ESPN3.
